My Story
Training and experience
20 years experience in the saddle, Cecile Pierret has dedicated her entire life to training and helping horses and riders reach their potential. Having studied grandprix dressage movements at the international riding school in Spain, show jumping with 16 year master of the Cadre Noir Thierry Durand, horsemanship with student of Ray Hunt - Patrick king, Equine Self expression with Debbie Davies. Cecile has learned from the simply the best and has added each skill to her toolbox amongst many, many more. In addition to dressage and show jumping, Cecile focuses on relaxation, proper groundwork, long lining, in hand work, and installing a proper foundation focusing on the biomechanics and the psychology of horse and rider. She has also started many young horses , retrained problem horses, and helped horses of all ages and breeds over come challenges. Cecile Pierret and Patrick King were the first American group to do a training at the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art in Jerez, Spain. Cecile trained grandprix dressage movements under the instruction of 3 time Olympian and silver medalist Rafael Soto and trainer Belen Bautista on the best Andalusian horses in the world.

Training
Whether you have a horse that needs a tune up , a problem horse , a young horse that needs a good start and solid foundation, your horse has issues with his feet, being tied, standing at the mounting block. If your horse has issues relaxing in general and the tension translates in their work - Cecile is the person to help. Starting from the ground up with relaxation in mind, each horse learns the proper basics in groundwork, long lining, mounting, desensitizing, and ground manners. After the foundation is properly installed, the horse will then continue onto specialize in the desires discipline. What makes Cecile uniquely qualified is not only her advanced skills in dressage as well as show jumping, but her experience in studying a horses psychology. This helps her her inside each horse’s brain, and tailor their training to that horse’s individual needs.A big part of training a horse is making sure the owner understands the process, and can continue to apply it once the horse is finished with their training time with Cecile. This is why we incorporate lessons into training board to ensure the horse and client can continue being successful in their training journey.
Riding instruction
With over 10 years of teaching experience, Cecile has taught riders of all levels, ages, and disciplines. First determining each rider’s personal goals, Cecile takes the time to not only train solid riders, but teach proper tools and horsemanship to all her riders. Focusing on not only the biomechanics, but also helping riders feel how their emotional state can affect their body’s response, as well as the horse’s response. This helps the rider truly understand the in and outs of themselves and their horse, enabling them to achieve the ultimate success in all of their goals.
